The Problem with PCT Drugs

Steroids are suppressive and by the end of a cycle you’re natural T-levels are likely to be wiped out. As a man, that is not a good situation to be in.

However, testosterone suppressing steroids should not be your only concern.

We are living in an increasingly toxic world and there are strong links between that and plummeting male testosterone levels at an alarming rate while estrogen levels are increasing.

To combat the onslaught pro and recreational bodybuilders traditionally use the drugs Nolvadex and Clomid for bodybuilding cycles.

PCT steroid drugs can be effective but you need to what you’re doing.

Unfortunately, most steroid users, especially beginners rely on guesswork when it comes to dosage levels.

Instead of getting regular blood work to understand their testosterone/estrogen levels they follow the advice of some guy on a bodybuilding forum.

If you’re not getting the correct dosage based on your current test/estro ratio you could be doing more harm than good.

For example, if you have low estrogen and your running an aromatase inhibitor based on guesswork, what do you think will happen?

You run the risk of suppressing your estrogen levels completely. And that’s not a good thing.

If that wasn’t bad enough traditional PCT drugs can be harsh and cause more side effects.

They also require a prescription which means you need to find a trusted source online.

A source that isn’t going to scam you by taking your money, sending a product that’s under/overdosed or containing something completely different.

A Better Alternative

Recently, I've been searching for a natural alternative to the PCT drugs I've been taking.

There's no shortage of natural PCT and anti-estrogen supplements to choose from.

After many months of searching online I decided to test out RED-PCT which is manufactured by Red Supplements.

Overall I was very happy with the results and decided to re-order 3 bottles.

Unfortunately, I was too late. Red-PCT had been taken off the market!

From what I’ve heard, it contained high doses of arimistane - a natural cortisol and aromatase inhibitor that is considered a mild steroid.

The FDA categorize Arimistane (Androst 3, 5-diene-7, 17-dione) as a prescription drug that should be taken under medical supervision.

It was a great supplement and my testosterone levels and libido recovered very fast while on it.

As a substitute I've been using Androsurge, which is pretty good, but not on the same levels as Red-PCT

So, I was happy that Red Supplements have finally got round to releasing version 2

What is Red-PCT 2.0?

Red PCT 2.0 is a post cycle recovery supplement formulated to help restore a healthy balance of natural testosterone following an anabolic steroid or SARM cycle.

Ingredient Profile

Red-PCT 2.0 contains 7 natural ingredients and anti-oxidants that help the body improve estrogen metabolism, boost free testosterone levels and energy.

  • DIM (Diindolylmethane)
  • Grape seed extract
  • Agaricus Bisporus
  • Resveratrol
  • Luteolin
  • Acacetin
  • Apigenin

Lets take a closer look at these ingredients...

DIM (Diindolylmethane)

DIM is a naturally occurring molecule found in cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and brussel sprouts.

DIM is currently researched as a potential ant-cancer agent.

Its also a popular supplement for testosterone and estrogen regulation.

But most importantly, DIM is considered an effective aromatase inhibitor.

Aromatase is enzyme in the body that converts testosterone into estrogen.

DIM inhibits the production of estrogen by blocking the aromatase enzyme from binding to testosterone.

This free’s up more testosterone while keeping estrogen in check.

Grape Seed Extract (GSE)

Seeds are packed full of nutrients to ensure growth but GSE in particular has a high concentrations of proanthocyanidins (PACS).

PACS are powerful antioxidants that combat free radicals - micro toxins - that cause havoc inn your body causing inflammation and disease.

GSE helps increase the effectiveness of nitric oxide, by improving blood flow throughout the body.

Studies also reveal that the procyanidin B2 contained in GSE acts as an aromatase suppressor (1).

Agaricus Bisporus

Agaricus Bisporus is the name for the common button mushroom.

However, what it lacks in size it more than makes up in vitamins and minerals.

Whats more, agaricus bisporus is packed full of aromatase inhibiting flavones and isoflavones.

For example, in this study the more extract consumed the greater the suppression of aromatase and the less estrogen was produced.

You’ve probably heard of the health benefits of drinking red wine in moderation.

These health benefits have nothing to do with the alcohol but have every thing to do with Resveratrol, compound found in grape skin.

Actually, Resveratrol is a natural anti-bacterial compound that protects the grapes from bacteria, fungi and viruses.

Studies link Resveratrol to helping lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol. It can also help reduce the risk of diabetes by improving insulin sensitivity.

A natural occurring flavonoid found in many fruits and vegetables.

These organic compounds give fruits such as oranges their vibrant color, but they also act as powerful antioxidants and anti-microbial agents.

What’s more, Luteolin has been found to help destabilize the aromatase enzyme with the potential to reduce estrogen production.

A flavonoid best known for its anti-inflammatory properties however, recent research reveals Acacetin has anti-estrogen and anti-aromatase properties as well.

A bioflavonoid with powerful antioxidant properties. Apigenin is also enzyme disruptor preventing specific enzymes from functioning.

Numerous studies (2) reveal potent anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to lower cortisol - an important factor in limiting muscle loss.

Encouragingly, studies (3) reveal Apigenin’s potential to suppress the aromatase enzyme in the body.

Is RED PCT safe?

According to their website, Red Supplements state that PCT-Red is safe to use.

However, they don’t recommend taking it if you have low estrogen as too little is just as bad as having too much.

Resveratrol may interact with certain medications such as the blood thinning medication Coumadin.

Does this mean RED-PCT 2.0 is going to cause you side effects?

Not at all.

But with any supplement, care should be taken.

Speak to doctor and don’t take more than the recommended dose.

Who is PCT-RED 2.0 Best Suited For?

PCT-RED is suitable for steroid and SARM cycles.

But its not only limited to help you recover from a cycle.

A worrying fact is that most men today have much lower testosterone levels due to poor diet, environmental pollution and aging.

So, even if your not recovering from a cycle Red-PCT can be used as a daily supplement to help keep hormones within a healthier range.

What's more, its natural so you can run a steroid or SARM PCT for a much longer than a traditional post cycle therapy.

Guys on HRT would also benefit from using Red-PCT due to the fact that you can run it for longer.

How To Use It

The recommended dose is one capsule to be taken three times daily.

That’s one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one cap in the evening.

PCT Red can be taken on an empty stomach or with food.

I personally take supplements on an empty stomach as I tend to get better results that way.

PCT-RED 2.0 is a legal natural product so its a lot milder than prescription PCT drugs which means you can take it for much longer.

Red Supplements recommend taking PCT RED 2.0 up to 8 to 12 weeks before cycling off.

Can you use PCT-RED 2.0 with other supplements?

You could, but as PCT-RED 2.0 is all-in-one supplement its not really necessary.

For example, if you’re taking an anabolic supplement their website recommends finishing the cycle before using PCT-RED 2.0.

What are the Reviews Saying

As I write this, PCT-RED 2.0 has only been on the market for 6 weeks, so real customer reviews are thin on the ground.

I’ve just had my blood work done and have started a 12 week post cycle of PCT-RED 2.0.

I will have my blood tested again to see if PCT-RED 2.0 has had any effect.

Will keep you updated on the results.

Where Can I Buy PCT-Red 2.0

Currently, you can only buy PCT-RED 2.0 supplement through Red Supplements official website at

The price is $49 for one bottle containing 90 capsules (1 month supply).

Shipping costs are $5.35 in the US, $20.85 for Canada and $25.25 for ROW.

Would I Recommend PCT-RED 2.0

This is a new product so too early to say whether its a great product or not.

However, I’ve used RED Supplements products before and been very impressed with the results, especially PCT-RED V.1.

Red Supplements products are certainly not the cheapest on the market and for me that’s a good thing because I know I’m getting a top grade product.

Red Supplements have positioned themselves as provider of top quality natural anabolic and Post Cycle Recovery supplements.

I would definitely recommend testing PCT-RED 2.0 if you’re looking for a more accessible and natural product to speed up your post cycle recovery.

Hope you found the review helpful.
